Akshaya Tritiya also known as Akha Teej / Akshaya Tadige is a highly auspicious and holy day. It is observed on the Shukla Paksha Tritiya in the month of Vaishakha corresponding to 18th of April in 2018. Karthigai Deepam is performed on the day when Krittika Nakshatra is prevailing, in worship of of Lord Shiva.
