Vaikunta Ekadashi is observed on the eleventh day of the Marghashira month and is also known as Mokshada Ekadashi and will be celebrated on the 18th / 19th December in 2018. It is believed that the Vaikunta Dwara (doors to heaven) are open on this day and fasting on this day is equivalent to fasting on the remaining other 23 Ekadashis.
